Safari Overview.
In this 10 days best of Uganda safari, you will explore the treasures in the western part of the country; uncovering the Geographical features; birds, primates, and mammals. The safari is to Lake Mburo national park for game drive and boat cruise, Bwindi impenetrable national park for Gorilla trekking; Queen Elizabeth National park for game drive and Boat cruise, Semiliki national park for nature walk, and Fort portal city for crater tours.
Uganda “the pearl of Africa “is located in the east of the continent of Africa, with diverse flora, fauna and cultural. The trip starts and ends at Entebbe international airport.
Upon Landing at Entebbe international airport, you will meet and greet our expert drive guide. There will be a brief talk about Uganda and the safari, and then a transfer to your lodge for check-in and a rest from the journey.
In case you arrive early and feel fresh, we have a city tour lined up and take a visit to Uganda national Museum, Craft village and the independence monument. End the day with dinner and overnight stay.
Today, wakeup for a delicious breakfast meal and checkout of the hotel. From Kampala to Lake Mburo National park; it is about 4-5 hours, with a stopover at the equator to watch the demonstration of the imaginary line at the point it divides the earth into the northern and southern hemisphere.
Take Photos and have Lunch, before proceeding with the drive to your lodge at the park for check-in, dinner and a nap.
A sip of coffee is the finest way of inviting the days Luck and strength. Afterword’s, you will go for a 3-4 hour game drive where you get to spot different antelope species notably the Impalas, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, zebras, herds of elephants, herds of Buffaloes, warthogs and more. Birds, and primates are all included in today’s viewing checklist.
After game drive, you will have a Lunch break, followed by a boat cruise at Lake Mburo. The evening boat cruise helps you relax, and watch the hippos, crocodiles and several aquatic residents. Retire to bed after dinner.
After breakfast, you will enjoy a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge and then depart for a 6-7 hours’ drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park; home to the sought after endangered mountain Gorillas.
Watch the flora, African style homesteads and busy towns as you drive to the park where the forest will usher you to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight. Lunch will be enroute.
Clad on your Gorilla trekking attire, with packed Lunch and other trekking Items, you will have heavy breakfast meal by 6:30am. By 07:00 hours, you should be at the park headquarters for a pre trekking briefing and document verification session. Gorilla trekking is on foot and lasts for approximately 1-8 hours depending on how far the apes have moved. Upon locating these primates, you have an hour of watching them feed, play and move around their territories.
Mountain Gorilla species are only found in the African continent, with Bwindi impenetrable national park hosting the largest concentration and families. Your ranger guide will help you identify the different birds, plants and animals that might come your way. Lunch is in the jungle. Return to the lodge after watching the apes for dinner and a sweet slumber.
Depart Bwindi Impenetrable National park after breakfast for queen Elizabeth National park. This Journey lasts for about 3-4 hours with Lunch at Ishasha sector, and tree climbing lion tracking. The tree climbing lions are a rare type of lions and you will need luck to spot one or more lying lazily at the tree branch. After game drive, you will continue with the drive to your lodge for check-in. dinner and a nap marks the end of the day.
Breakfast is for 6-7 am. From 7:00am, a 3-4 hours’ game drive then follows around the open savannah grassland around Kasenyi sector where you have a chance of spotting among others the lions, herds of elephants, herds of Buffaloes, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, Oribis and more. No one has an appointment with any resident of the Park thus the expectation should be that catching the sight of your favorite mammal is probability.
After the game drive, you will have a Lunch break, and boat cruise in the afternoon hours. The boat cruise at Kazinga channel takes about 2-3 hours, as you enjoy the cool sea breeze, sight of the aquatic residents notably the hippos, crocodiles, water duck and more. End this day with dinner and a nap.
After breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge for a Transfer to fort portal city. The Journey to fort portal lasts for approximately 3 hours, with a stopover in places where your driver Guide deems very beautiful. You will arrive at Lunch time, check-in and have Lunch. The evening will be for you to rest at the hotel.
Have other optional activities like Isunga cultural tours, coffee tours, top of the world hike or night life, before settling in for dinner and a nap.
Today, wake up to a tasty breakfast meal at the lodge. Afterwards, hit the road on a 2 hours’ scenic drive to Semuliki national park; a true birders haven in the continent of Africa. On this drive, you will have a glimpse of the breathtaking backdrop of the giant snowcapped mountain Rwenzori; green plantation covers and several geographical features.
When you arrive at the park entrance, you will be welcomed and briefed about the park activities, dos and don’ts. Following that will be a guided forest walk to the Sempaya hot springs; one of the most stunning geographical features in the world.
The forest walk exposes you to unique plant species and their herbal value; birds, forest mammals, primates and reptiles. Semiliki national park is a habitat to over 40% bird species in the world, notably the Turacos, cranes, Kori bustards, storks, sunbirds, and more. Lots of birds will be spotted at the hot spring area, as well as photography. It will be picnic lunch and a sunset return to your hotel at fort portal for refreshment, dinner and overnight.
Today, greet your intestines with a cup of coffee first thing. Thereafter you will have a two hours visit of the crater lakes spread around the tourism of Uganda, have lunch and embark on a return Journey to Entebbe international airport for your flight.
