Overview.
This exciting safari has been designed to provide opportunities for to guests have an exhilarating safari in the magnificent Akagera National Park and have a view of the big 5 animals that is to say lions, leopards, elephants, African buffaloes, and Rhinos.
This safari will also include other exciting activities such as birding that will enable the visitor to view rare bird species in the Great Lakes region, engaging boat cruises which will provide opportunities for visitors to see animals that live within the water bodies especially crocodiles and the distant breathtaking views of the mountains and forests. Hot air ballooning has also been mixed in this safari which would provide aerial views of the National Park to the visitor that will further make the safari more rewarding.
Pick up the guests from the hotel facility by a professional tourist guide in a cozy tourist van and embark on the journey to the National Park. The journey is approximately two hours and on arrival at the National Park the guests will be welcomed and have in mouthwatering lunch at Akagera café.
After the mouthwatering lunch at 2:00 PM embark on the journey to Lake Ihema from where the visitors will have an exciting boat cruise that will enable them to have spectacular views of the lake and the nearby dense forests. The boat cruise will take 2-3 hours. Later in the evening at around 6:00 pm, head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Get served with delicious breakfast at around 6:00 AM. After breakfast return on the journey to the wilderness for an early morning game drive which will enable the visitors to view amazing animals in the national park, like lions, leopards, African Bush elephants, African buffaloes, rhinos, and zebras to mention but few.
The game drive will be done by 10:00 AM and you shall head back to the lodge for relaxation. Lunch will be served at around 1:00 PM and after visitors will relax at the lodge as they enjoy the ambient aura of the National Park. Later in the evening at roughly 3:00 PM, embark on the evening game drives which will further avail opportunities to view animals. At around 7:00 PM, get back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Breakfast is served at 7:00 AM from where the visitors will embark on the walk to the forests in the park to have the opportunity to view rare bird species such as cinnamons, great crested cranes, egrets, secretary birds, African fish eagles, and shoebills. After the exciting bird-watching activity probably at noon the visitors will embark on the journey back to the lodge for a delicious lunch at around 1:00 PM.
After lunch probably at 2:00 PM, visitors will embark on the journey to Akagera community center to have spectacular entertainment and a deep insight into the lives of the inhabitants of the area. After the community encounter at around 6:00 PM embark on the journey to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast is served at the lodge at around 5:00 a.m. After, visitors embark on the exciting hot air ballooning safari which will enable them to view the lush vegetation and animals in Akagera National Park from a bird’s eye view.
This adventure will end in the morning when the visitors will be served to a delicious bush breakfast. After this, embark on the transfer to Kigali city.
