Overview.
This trip lasts for four days filled with enjoyment and connection to the remote areas of Rwanda. The safari will also provide visitors opportunities to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Various species of wildlife will also be encountered on this trip especially in Volcanoes National Park and on the hike to Mount. Karisimbi.
Gorilla trekking will take visitors through the thick bamboo forests on the slopes of the mountain as they observe rabid species that inhabit the forests, for example, African fish Eagles, African paradise flycatchers, black Bee-eaters, cinnamons, egrets, secretary birds, turacos, and shoebills. The trip will be accompanied by professional guides on all the activities that will provide information on how they are done and deeper insights into the Rwandan wilderness.
Pick up guests from the hotel facility and embark on the journey to Volcanoes National Park which is approximately a two-hour to three-hour drive. on arrival at the National Park guests will check in into the lodge from where they will have a mouthwatering lunch at around 1:00 PM.
You will spend the rest of the evening at the lodge facility as they view the beauty of the National Park, especially the magnificent volcanoes as they connect to the skies. dinner will be served to the guests later on in the evening approximately at 7:00 PM and stay overnight.
Breakfast shall be served at approximately 7:00 AM. After breakfast, guests will go for a briefing with the Park Rangers who will tell them more about the gorilla tracking adventure. The briefing will last for about 30 minutes and it is in this briefing that guests will know the rules of that trick. After the briefing at around 8:00 AM, guests will embark on the trek through the bamboo forests that would last for about 7 hours.
Once a gorilla family is encountered, visitors will be allowed an uninterrupted hour to view the gorillas in their jungle. At approximately 2:00pm, visitors will embark on the journey to the lodge for a delicious lunch. After lunch, visitors will relax and enjoy the amenities of the lodge for the rest of the evening such as swimming, fast Wi-Fi, and so on. Later on, in the evening dinner will be served at the lodge and you will stay for the night.
Breakfast is served at the lodge facility at around 7:00am. After breakfast transfer to Mount Karisimbi for the extraordinary hike that will provide them views of the nearby areas and the other volcanoes. The hike to the top of the mountain will start at around 8:00 a.m.
The hike will last about six hours. a packed lunch will be served to the guests at around 1:00pm enroute to the top. Proceed to the hike up to the top of the mountain which will be at around 4:00pm. Visitors will enjoy the rest of the evening while at the top of the mountain as they view the beautiful crater lakes. Packed dinner will be served later on in the evening at around 7:00 PM. You will camp at the top of the mountain and stay overnight.
Breakfast is served at 7:00 AM and later prepare to leave the place and embark on the journey to the lower slopes of Mount. Karisimbi. The journey down the mountain will last up to two hours.
After descending successfully, at around 10:00 a.m., you will proceed on the journey to Kigali International Airport for their flights back home.
